Pinewood Derby 2012

Where:             Britton Elementary Gymnasium        

Time:               Doors Open at 6:30pm ending time around 9:30

   PREREGISTRATION: Let us know who will be racing on race day by Wednesday, January 25. WE STILL NEED 4 VOLUNTEERS TO ASSIST, IF YOU HELPED LAST YEAR, AND WE HAD SEVERAL THAT TRAINED TO HELP IN THE FUTURE, WE NEED YOU AGAIN!!!

Important Race Information:

  1. Contestants will be able to enter building at 6:30pm (not before, so set up crew can set up)
  2. All cars need to be made with wheels and weights on prior to arrival. The time prior to the race will be for final adjustments and impounding only.
  3. Cars should follow District Rules for building: use kit given, kit provided wheels, nails (axles) and axle cuts for wheels are to be used, no adjustments to that area. Cars should weigh no more then 5 ounces. (The Post Office is a good place to check it so you have an idea) Any cars not following guidelines, will not be impounded for racing.
  4. Trial Runs will be from 6:30-7:00 only. Each family will be give 2 vouchers Friday night to use for 2 trials runs if they wish. The designated Pit Crew will take vouchers and place cars on the track during the trial run time.
  5. Track closes at 7:00 and all cars need to be impounded by 7:10
  6. 7:15 Races Begin
  7. Race completed and dismissal by 9:30

This is the second year for using the school on a Friday night. We appreciate your help and cooperation in making this fun event run as close to schedule as possible. With success, our detail of finding a place and to not incur extra costs could be solved. We thank you in advance for all of your help.

 

 

Building Usage: Just a few reminders

 

We are able to be in the cafeteria and use the restrooms closest to it (we are not able to roam the building)

Please make sure children are with you at all times and using walking feet…there will be a lot of people and things set up and we do not want anyone to get hurt.

 

Pack Meeting - November 2011

The November Pack Meeting is Tuesday, November 22nd at 7:00 pm at the Britton Elementary.

Please bring your Cub Scout dues of $35 to this meeting since we will be collecting dues.

Also, we will discuss Pinewood Derby, Popcorn and upcoming Holiday events.

Leader's meeting will be Sunday, November 20th at 7:00PM at Dave & Buster's.
